if you move your arm out of the uncomfortable position it will usually go away. its caused by having your wrist at a bad angle. this causes the carpal tunnel to swell and press against the Median nerve. this causes numbness or pain to the palm and fingers. but that is usually only temporary. if its bad enough you may need surgery to release the pressure on the nerve, but that would only happen if the pain never stopped. otherwise, just give the wrist a break from whatever causes the pain *moth the swelling will go down and the pain will stop.
