I thought it came out today AND WAS FUCKING PUMPED for some reason and drove all the way to Best Buy (because some lady cunt said they had over 100 copies) only to find out that I actually have to wait 'til goddamn Sunday for the official release date. I thought it was today but I guess I was wrong. That bitch could've at least told me. Fux.
:(

1. Walk into the warehouse at BestBuy
2. Find package marked "STREET DATED MATERIALS" or "NOT TO BE OPENEDED UNTIL MARCH 9" or something else to that effect.
3. Open said package to verify contents
4. If pleased with contents, steal said package

I had to pick it up at ToysRUs Sunday because it was sold out by 3pm everywhere else, including Best Buy which had well over 100 copies that morning. :L But anyways, Shockwave (or anyone else), let me know when you get it and or jump online. I've logged in about an hour or two so far. It took me awhile to get the feel for the controls TBH. Dunno why.

shox pal when i get my component selector in the mail i will add you to my Wii(not like you havent already been on my Wii! oh snap!!). i dont even have it hooked up atm because my hddvr uses my only component hookup on my tv and i lost my standard wii vid cable. i dont have brawl yet but i do have mario strikers charged which is also online. i plan on getting brawl soon too.
i heard the online was pretty failz though. nintendo did a horrible job with it. for some reason they didnt expect it to do as well as it is. their solution is to wait a little while and try again. come on Nintendo dont be like that.

thats because wii's can only support wifi, unless they come out with some hardrive attachment to give it stable internet access like an xbox or ps3. ps wireless is retarded.

Oh yeah, it's complete shit. Kinda disappointing.
Well at the same time though I hear that people play online games that are pretty well playable. I just hear with some people it is kind of hit and miss.
I have no clue though if it is just because their network is overloaded. Because from what people are saying it seems that it either runs fine or the game comes to a standstill.

Don't they have an ethernet plug in the back?

there is no ethernet jack and the reason for poor play is that the network is overloaded. they completely underestimated how many people would be playing this game. i can kind of let this go just because this is really the first time they have done online play.

I've heard that Nintendo is working on fixing all the current online problems, so hopefully online play is better soon.

I've heard that, too. Personally I've only played one match online, and it was pretty damn choppy. But I've seen recorded videos of people playing online and it was as smooth as offline.

shox add my wii 4478 9246 5115 9211
bout to add you
I was curious what performance everyone gets on this thing now. Like if their servers run better now for people etc.
The more I thought about it the more it seemed like it should be throughly possible to work online. I mean all characters are doing is running\jumping movement, instant attacks and sometimes fireing projectiles. That isn't really any different than most other online games.
If any of u homos want to add me here is my info:
Wii Code: 0125-2931-7063-3732
Smash Bros: 1160-9449-5021

I heard it's improved recently, but I haven't been able to try. Had some problems with the online adapter, had to reinstall software, etc. (Still have to add you DS *eek)

Sorry to disappoint you even more, I had the game a couple of days after the Japan release (Jan 31).
I actually beat it before it came out in the states :P I don't play much though, I am a big SSB64 fan, and I think the game is great, but I can't be f*cked when I have so much school work.
And yes, the game is a LITTLE bit laggy. I am in Jersey and I played a game with two friends in Florida who shared a TV screen - there was a tiny bit of button-lag ('bullet lag'). Still not terrible though. I'll post my FC if I decide to play it again.

k added you.
I don't sit around playing it for hours on end or any bs though, so the best way to play me would be to MSN me first.
I think part of why I don't play it for longer periods of time is the way they designed the multipler. It makes you wait until you have a full group before it starts playing.
The best way to have done it would have it autocreate group games that begin immediately when a two players are paired up. Then as the group finishes a level it would have a brief period where it would drop additional players who were waiting for an open game into that room. This way once you get playing you are playing nonstop, and the only real waiting period would be waiting to get into a room.
The server would just need to look at the total players and manage how many lobbies it should create.
Right now you can have up to 60 second waits at any given time even if you have 3 players ready to go but there is still an empty spot.

I added your Wii codes, Lead and DS, as well as your SSBB code Lead. DS post your SSBB code?
Have to get some games going one of these days.
Best way to get shit going would probably to get people added on MSN and then bug people when assholes want to play, then promptly open PayPal so money bets can commence.
